These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Wibbet (“Service”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Wibbet.
1. What Wibbet is
Wibbet lets you create and join private prediction pools for football competitions. You predict match scores, tournament champion, and top scorer, and compete on leaderboards with people you invite.
Wibbet is for entertainment only. It is not a betting operator, bookmaker, or gambling service. There are no entry fees, no prizes paid in money, and no guarantee of any reward. Points and rankings are for fun and bragging rights only.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) and able to enter a binding agreement. You are responsible for ensuring that using Wibbet is lawful where you live.
3. Your account
- You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your password secure.
- Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.
4. Pools, memberships, and predictions
4.1 Creating and joining pools
Pool owners set the name, competition, and scoring rules (within options we provide). Owners may approve or reject join requests. Invite links should only be shared with people you trust.
4.2 Predictions and deadlines
Match predictions must be submitted before kickoff (or before the deadline shown in the app). Late predictions may not count. Tournament picks (champion, top scorer) must be submitted before the competition start date shown in the pool.
4.3 Scoring and standings
Points are calculated automatically according to the pool’s scoring settings and official match results entered in our system. We strive for accuracy but do not guarantee that results or points are error-free; we may correct obvious errors.
4.4 No money
Users must not use Wibbet to organise paid entry, side bets, or any form of real-money gambling. We may remove pools or accounts that do.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break any applicable law or third-party rights;
- harass, abuse, or impersonate others;
- upload malware, scrape the Service excessively, or attempt to bypass security;
- use automated means to submit predictions without permission;
- misrepresent your affiliation with Wibbet; or
- use the Service in a way that could harm us, other users, or the infrastructure.
6. Content and intellectual property
The Service, branding, software, and layout are owned by us or our licensors. You retain rights to content you submit (e.g. pool names), but you grant us a licence to host, display, and process it solely to operate the Service.
Team names, logos, and competition data may belong to third parties and are used for identification purposes only.
7. Availability and changes
We provide the Service on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may modify features, competitions, or these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of Wibbet.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (typically zero, as the Service is free) or (b) one hundred euros (€100), unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or breach of these Terms, except where caused by our intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access with or without notice if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by nature should survive (liability limits, governing law) will survive termination.
12. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. It forms part of your agreement with us.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Romanian courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protection rules in your country give you different rights.
